You can't make it up XIV - a new book on Climategate (30 oct 12)

The publication of Andrew Montford's first book on climate science, 'The Hockey Stick Illusion' was badly timed. It was about to be published just as the Climategate scandal - where the world's leading climate scientists were caught conspiring to delete evidence contradicting the 'global warming' theory - occurred. Montford quickly added the subtitle 'Climategate and the corruption of science', but it's not really about Climategate, it's about the notorious 'Hockey Stick' chart.

His new book is more to the point. It clearly shows how the climate 'scientists' carried out their scam. Their emails reveal their attitude - more like the proponents of Lysenkoism or Deutsch Physik than of Western scientists. Here's a section of it (PDF file):

"I use the word ‘perceived’ here, since whether it is true or not is not what the publishers care about – it is how the journal is seen by the community that counts."
